We are officially BACK! It’s been a long offseason but man, we FINALLY have football back in our lives again. While this may just being a teaser before it truly begins, we do still have some fun games in this Week Zero of College Football action. If you have been here before, you know how we roll. If not??

Well……

Here are my plays for Week 0 of College Football!

Check out the latest episodes of the JCPod for my full breakdowns and analysis. All odds are a mix/the best number from FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.

Straights

Iowa State +3.5 (-114)

Farmageddon makes its way to Ireland!

I love that I’m able to get the hook here on the spread of 3.5 points. While Iowa State did lose two 1000+ yard receivers, their defense has gotten a lot healthier and should be better this year. I also like Rocco Becht, and think he will have a pretty good season this year. While I am a bit scared of what Avery Johnson might do, I feel like this game will start out slow, which would benefit Iowa State.

Since this is the Big 12, I expect this to be a game that could go either way. I belive this will be a one score game down the wire, so I am going to be on the side of the points.

Side note: I am currently on a three game win streak for Ireland Games (that would be a NBA JAM folks), so let’s see if Iowa State can make it four.

Hawaii (-125)

While Hawaii might not be the greatest team this year, Stanford looks to be potentially the worst power four team in the country. I see this as almost a test of “how bad will Stanford be this year?”This is by far my least favorite bet of the three, but I do like Hawaii and their chances of winning here.

I am also concerned by how much will Stanford care about this season ? This year feels like a punt year, as there’s a good chance Frank Reich is a one and done as General Manager Andrew Luck looks for the next coach of Standford.

Western Kentucky -9.5 (-132)

Western Kentucky is one of the better teams in Conference USA, and are the second favorite odds wise (+420) to win the conference this year. Meanwhile, there are rumors going around Sam Houston that they might play, or at least like, up to three quarterbacks on their roster. To me, this screams Western Kentucky all the way. Especially when the coaching battle comes down to a Coach with the team for the first year (Sam Houston) versus the other team’s coach is coming back for his seventh season (Western Kentucky).

Due to the transfer portal, both these teams are bringing in a decent amount of new players. Like said though, Western Kentucky seems like it’s going upwards while Sam Houston is looking to build towards growth in the future. I will be trusting in Tyson Helton to have his boys ready for the first game of the season.

Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day

For those are you who are new, this is how the Parnell Nasty Boy works:

– We do two to three parlays a week for the NFL (Thursday night, Sundays games, Monday night) and one parlay a week for College Football (usually only Saturday games). This play will be no bigger than four legs.

– This is usually a $10 bet that will have odds usually higher than about +900 or above. They are called Nasty Boys for a reason!

– The goal is to hit about four to five a year, as hitting four plus Nasty Boys puts us positive on the year………. for both leagues.

Since it’s the first week of the season, I will not be taking any player props, especially in these college games. Due to that, we will just be doing two games and two totals for a basic Nasty Boy to start the year.

I was able to get odds of +817 boosted to +1226 with a 50% boost:

  • Iowa State +3.5 (-114)
  • Iowa State – Kansas State under 26.5 first half points (-130)
  • Western Kentucky -9.5 (-132)
  • Western Kentucky – Sam Houston State under 61.5 points {full game} (-114)

Man does it feel good to have football back!

Let’s have a DAY! PLEASE GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY
