It has only been 7 games into the Derek Carr experience of his 4 year contract, yet it already seems like the city of New Orleans is tired of him.

Not only have fans been vocal about the success of this offense or lack their of. It appears through the television screen that players of the Saints are out on him as well.

Carr is not the only person getting under the fans skin, head coach Dennis Allen and OC Pete Carmichael are also on the hot seat with the fans.

Has Derek Carr Lost the Locker Room?

Derek Carr has rubbed his teammates and fans the wrong way this season. It appears some players are done with the newly acquired quarterback and the attitude he brings to the game.

There have been small stuff all season that makes Derek Carr seem unlikeable from a far. Last Thursday night against the Jaguars, it appeared everything was brought to the surface.

From players dismissing him on the sideline, to him dismissing players on the sideline. He calls it wearing his heart on his sleeve in a post-game interview.

Speaking candidly, it just looks like all he wants to do is win. Yet, he does not know how to win, nor does he have the talent to win. Which I am sure is frustrating for him.

That frustration however, when aimed at teammates, can rub fans the wrong way.

Everybody just needs to Relax

Derek Carr being the main one needing to relax. However, teammates and fans alike need to understand, for better or for worse; Derek Carr is our quarterback for the next few seasons.

The offense’s lack of success has been brutal to watch this season. It took 7 games for everything to reach it’s boiling point.

However, fans of the Saints, there is still a shot at winning this division that is not far fetched.

Derek Carr and the offense will have to get on the same page, relax, and produce at a higher rate. Which almost looks impossible with Carr at quarterback.

This team since Drew Brees retired has so much talent, yet the quarterback play and most importantly the coaching has been subpar.

The constant booing from the fans Thursday night was heard loud and clear across the nation.

While all of the blame should not be placed on his shoulders, isn’t that what the quarterback position is?
