The Falcons are adding another Robinson to their running back room, as Atlanta is signed running back Brian Robinson Jr. (via CBS Sports). Robinson Jr. will ink a one-year deal this is worth $2.5 million.

Robinson, who spent the 2025 season with the San Francisco 49ers, will most likely serve as the No. 2 option in the Falcons’ backfield behind All-Pro running back Bijan Robinson. Brian Robinson rushed for 400 yards (4.2 per carry) and two touchdowns last year.

The Falcons will be his third team in as many seasons. The 27-year-old spent three seasons with the Washington Commanders (2022-24) before being traded to San Francisco last season.

Brian Robinson Jr. was a stud for Washington, topping 1,100 scrimmage yards in 2023 while posting at least 700 yards on the ground in every season he played for the Commanders.

The Falcons desperately needed running back depth after Tyler Allgeier signed a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals this offseason. While signing Brian Robinson Jr. should be a good depth move for the Falcons, this is a move that will stress out fantasy managers anytime the Falcons get near the end zone.
