It seems as if this situation continues to get messier with Deshaun Watson. The Cleveland Browns will start quarterback P.J. Walker against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed.

Deshaun Watson did not practice on Wednesday and will remain out while rehabbing a shoulder injury. Stefanski said Watson would start against the Seahawks after the team’s victory over the Indianapolis Colts last week.

An MRI earlier this week confirmed that there is no new structural damage to Watson’s shoulder, but Stefanski said Wednesday that further swelling occurred after the Colts game

Stefanski added that surgery is not on the table, but his shoulder is still not 100%.

Watson didn’t play in Weeks 4 and 6 (the team had a bye in Week 5) as a result of the shoulder ailment. He returned in Week 7, completing one pass for five yards before leaving the game following a big hit from Colts defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo.

The Browns are 4-2 heading into their Week 8 matchup against the Seahawks.
