Huge injury and loss for the Eagles. Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert suffered a fracture in his forearm in the team’s Week 9 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, sources told Adam Schefter.
Goedert will undergo an MRI on Monday to see if there’s any further damage, Schefter adds.
You could tell by the way he tackled it was something wrong. Watching it live I thought he broke his arm or his shoulder popped out of place. It turns out it was sort of the first option, as he has a fractured forearm
Goedert exited to the locker room right after being looked at by the team’s training staff and did not return. He finished the game with three catches for 50 yards.
Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam were the remaining tight ends on the Eagles’ depth chart after Goedert’s departure from the game. Grant Calcaterra was inactive due to a concussion.
Heading into Sunday, Goedert was becoming more and more involved in each game. He had 35 catches for 360 yards and 2 touchdowns in eight games. He will not be placed on IR as of now, but there is no for sure timetable for a return.
