No matter which team you root for, or just look at for reference, it is as ugly as it can get. The AL Central has the first place Cleveland Guardians on a six game losing streak and currently down 3 in the 8th inning.

In second place you have possibly the hottest team in the division at 11-9 over their last 20 games and sitting 2.5 games back. Behind them are the young Kansas City Royals looking to build something, anything.

The Royals are 7-3 over their last 10 and only sitting 3.5 games back from the first place Guardians. Kansas City also leads the division in run differential at +94. If I were a betting man, maybe the Royals deserve a sprinkle to steal the division in these last two months.

After those top three teams, who are all struggling and have had rough patches this season. Cleveland is looking to end the rough patch they are currently in.

The Detroit Tigers are 12.5 games back from the Guardians and have been looking to build some momentum for the last decade. At the deadline, they dealt away some good players now looking to get some better players in the future. In baseball, you are either trying to win now, or trying to win later, it is hard to do both.

Then there is a team who is just trying to win, again, anything. The White Sox on the south side of Chicago have been on an all time stinker this season. With the worst record in baseball and fresh off of a 21 game losing streak the White Sox fired their manager last night.

Today with interim manager, will they show some fight? They ended up in a 7-0 hole to the Cubs before showing that fight. Currently it is 7-6, maybe there is some fight in these White Sox.

Chicago is 28-89 and sitting 40, yes, 40 games behind the first place Guardians.

I have a hunch whoever wins this division will be an early exit in the post season.
