The Las Vegas Aces are heading into the All-Star break as four Aces prepare to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Las Vegas is going into the break 10-2 over the last month of play with A’ja Wilson leading the way.

After starting 6-6 with a lineup missing Chelsea Gray the Aces have been on fire since her return. Las Vegas is sitting in second place in the Western Conference at 16-8, a half of a game back from the 17-8 Seattle Storm.

A’ja Wilson is the midway point clear favorite to win MVP. With a few players that could be long shots behind her. She is averaging 27 points and 12 rebound a game to go along with 2.5 assist and 1.8 steals a game.

If you focus on just the month of July those numbers for Wilson jumps to 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 blocks on 54% shooting per game.

Las Vegas Aces

A’ja Wilson has looked like the best player on the court in every game they have played this season.

However this Las Vegas Aces team that is on a mission for a three peat has the tools at every position. With four of their starters representing USA in the Olympics, the talent is abundant and clear.

There is no doubt in my mind that this team, fully healthy, makes another run at a title this season. Jackie Young, Kelsey Plum, and Chelsea Gray are the perfect players to surround Wilson with.

Becky Hammond looking to do something unique and special as well. Looking to win three championships since taking over the coaching job in 2021.
