The San Francisco 49ers are re-signing fullback Kyle Juszczyk to a two-year, $8-million contract, a source told Adam Schefter.
San Francisco had originally released Juszczyk earlier in the same week they signed him back.
The fullback has been with the 49ers since 2017. He was one of the first additions head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch made when they took over earlier that year, adding Juszczyk as a free agent from the Baltimore Ravens.
Juszczyk is a nine-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, including a second-team selection in 2024. He’s made the Pro Bowl in all eight seasons with the 49ers.
The 33-year-old is known for his versatility out of the backfield as a rusher and receiver in addition to his blocking. Juszczyk tallied 226 scrimmage yards last season off 24 touches – 9.4 yards per touch – while scoring three total touchdowns.
Juszczyk has totaled 2,901 yards from scrimmage and 24 total touchdowns across 12 NFL seasons.
The 49ers have significantly reshaped their roster coming off a 6-11 campaign in which they missed the playoffs for the first time since 2020. The team traded wide receiver Deebo Samuel while also losing several starters to free agency, including cornerback Charvarius Ward, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, and safety Talanoa Hufanga.
San Francisco is currently negotiating a long-term extension with quarterback Brock Purdy, who was previously a bargain due to him being Mr. Irrelevant of his draft class.
