MLB Bets: (08/16/2023)
Hump day is here people, when tracking bets like I do, this is the halfway mark of the week. The way I see it, if you win the week, you ultimately will win the year.
I have a pretty slate today involving some plus money plays along with betting that the Mariners of Seattle can get back on track.
The Red Beard: MLB Bets
First Bet: H-Town and Verlander
Houston has lost the bet for me the last two nights. Call me insane because I am going back to the well.
Justin Verlander (7-6, 3.19) will take the mound for the Stros tonight and face Jesus Luzardo (8-7, 3.91) and the Marlins. Luzardo has been a bright spot for the Marlins all year. Miami is holding on to a wild card spot by the hair on their chinny chin chin at the moment and have been playing good, sound, competitive baseball this week specifically.
Give me the mighty Astros to come out swinging tonight and get a good lead early and watch Verlander and the bullpen go to work.
Give me Astros on the run line at plus money. (Astros -1.5 +140)
Second Bet: O’s vs Padres
Baltimore Orioles might be the best story in baseball in 2023, while the Padres might be the worse. Padres have struggled to get anything going this season and have an all-star like lineup that has zero cohesiveness.
With one of my favorite pitchers this season on the mound for the O’s tonight, Dean Kremer (11-4, 4.50) I am going to back them on the money line. Cy Young candidate Blake Snell (9-8, 2.63) will make things tough for the O’s, yet I am betting that the Padres lineup struggles to get anything going tonight.
Give me the O’s on the money line. (Orioles ML +140)
Third Bet: The One to make ya Sweat
The Seattle Mariners have been hot to start off August, then they hit a cold three game patch. Last night however they got the victory and tonight the pitching matchup is begging me to take them.
You have the ace Luis Castillo (8-7, 3.14) taking the mound for the Mariners, which is usually a good sign. To make that sign even brighter, let’s look at who the Royals are starting tonight. James McArthur (0-0, 13.50), I’ll say it for all of us, WHO?
Let me back the Mariners in a get right spot looking to win two in a row. (Mariners -1.5 -110)
