This article is going to be exactly what it sounds like from the title. Every Tuesday I will release my top 10 college basketball teams in the country according to my power rankings.

Last year while UConn was never ranked number one nationally, I had them as the number team for stretches last season.

My rankings unlike the Ap and Coaches polls are based on two completely separate things. I focus more on gambling and the tournament. For example, the best record, or run does not phase me. The chemistry and rebounding will tell me more about how deep a team will go in March.

Which is what I focus this weekly power rankings on. How good are you against the spread? How deep do I think you can go in March?

CBB Power Rankings

  1. Purdue
  2. UConn
  3. Arizona
  4. Kansas
  5. Houston
  6. Creighton
  7. Kentucky
  8. Marquette
  9. Memphis
  10. Ohio State

Purdue has played one of if not the hardest non-conference schedules and have looked like the best Purdue team I have ever seen. I usually do not believe in the Purdue hype, yet this year feels different, to keep it simple.

UConn to be is still the best team in the nation, the only team with three gears while everybody else only has two. What are those three gears you ask? Good, Great, and then there is Elite.

Arizona and Kansas both have strong home and road wins this season and have to be considered two of the most dangerous teams to face this season. Houston is right there with them, the anticipation and pressure mounts on the Cougars going into their first Big 12 season.

The next five teams on the list are teams that you can put anywhere you want against anybody you want, and 9.878 times out of 10 I am choosing them to win the game. Creighton, Kentucky, Marquette, Memphis, and Ohio State has shown that they are in that level of great teams this season.
