CBB Power Rankings 12/03/2024
This article is going to be exactly what it sounds like from the title. Every Tuesday I will release my top 10 college basketball teams in the country according to my power rankings.
My rankings unlike the Ap and Coaches polls are based on two completely separate things. I focus more on gambling and the tournament. For example, the best record, or run does not phase me. Things like the chemistry and rebounding will tell me more about how deep a team will go in March.
Which is what I focus this weekly power rankings on. How good are you against the spread? How deep do I think you can go in March?
CBB Power Rankings 12/03/2024
- Kentucky
- Kansas
- Auburn
- Marquette
- Gonzaga
- Memphis
- Oregon
- Tennessee
- Wisconsin
- Purdue
Major shake up this week, however, I am sure that is what was expected coming into today. We saw UConn lose three straight and in horrible fashion, dropping them from number one, all the way to off of my list.
Kentucky for now steps in at the new number 1, with Kansas, Auburn, and Marquette right on their heels.
After those four teams, it becomes a toss up on where teams belong. With still a lot of undefeated teams left, the deep dive into schedules made the difference.
Teams like Florida and Cincinnati although have a lot of promise and are undefeated; do not have the quality of wins as teams like Wisconsin, Memphis, and Oregon.
Purdue is at the bottom at number 10, yet their only loss of the season was to Marquette, who is number 4 right now. Meaning Purdue could easily be a top 5 team again soon.
That is why we play the games, looking forward to watching this season unfold and the dominoes falling where they may.
Check back every Tuesday for my top 10 CBB Power Rankings.
