Napheesa Collier has been the best player on one of the best teams in the WNBA all season long. Collier has put up MVP like numbers and her impact on winning can not be understated.

When Collier missed a few games going into the All-Star/Olympic break it was obvious the Lynx were missing their leader. Minnesota struggled in those games, yet stayed competitive.

Napheesa Collier Back

After winning a gold medal with team USA, Collier came back to the WNBA season on fire. Minnesota is on a 4 game winning streak and has won all three games since being back from the break.

This winning streak includes a win against back to back reigning champion Las Vegas Aces last night in Las Vegas. Collier led the way for her team scoring 23 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 4 assist while shooting the ball 60% from the floor.

Her Impact Beyond Stats

However her impact on the game is bigger than stats. She is the engine that gets this Lynx team going. She is the player that gives her teammates the confidence that they too can compete.

When watching this Lynx team play, they go as Collier goes. You see a sparkle in role players eyes after Collier scores. It makes them believe that they can win.

Minnesota is one of the top defensive teams in the league and have already proven that they can step on a court and beat anybody in this league.

They are this year’s Commissioner’s Cup winner and have beaten the Aces and the Liberty twice each.

The Liberty and the Aces are the litmus test in the WNBA this season as both teams met in the championship last season.

MVP! MVP!…

Collier has been putting up massive numbers quietly all season long and deserves more praise for her play and leadership.

She averages 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assist, and 2 steals a game this season on 49% shooting.

In her last three games she put up 17 points, 30 points, and 23 points. All three games resulting in a win for the Lynx.

Napheesa Collier is and has been my MVP vote all season. This Minnesota Lynx Team will be a team to make a run in this years playoffs.
