Week Six is upon us, and there are not too many ranked matchups this week. With the College Football Playoffs looming closer and closer as the weeks go by, every game matters that much more. Due to that, slip ups this late in the season could start becoming even more of an issue.
Here are my bets for Week Six of the College Football season.

Straights
Iowa State moneyline (+102)
I like the way we’re able to get Iowa State plus money here, even with some of the injury issues. While I am a bit nervous about some of the injuries they are dealing with, Rocco Becht has been such a great quarterback so far this season. I am a bit nervous as well about Cincinnati’s quarterback, as he is good as well. I am going to trust in Iowa State to get a massive road win here. This loss could potentially ruin Iowa States chance at the College Football Playoffs. so they need to win here.
Cal moneyline (+124)
The sole reason I am taking Cal is that they are home and because of the quarterback. Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele has show some real flashes this season, and he will need that again to beat this Duke team. He had a pretty good game last week against Boston College, and I look for that momentum to carry over.
Maryland +6.5 (-105)
This bet probably makes me the most nervous out of all the ones I’m about to give out. I just like that we are getting Maryland at close to a touchdown at home. Washington is coming off a tough Ohio State game, now has to travel across the country to go play Maryland. I think the travel and the toll from last game could allow Maryland to hang around in this game until late.
Vanderbilt +10.5 (-110)
Vanderbilt is able to put up points and Diego Pavia has been playing really good this year as well. Alabama is able to score, so there is a chance that this could become a shootout. I’m assuming Alabama will have a bit of an emotional let down as well to start off, as that Georgia game was massive for them last week.
Purdue +10.5 (-122)
The main reason I am taking this spread is two major factors. One, this is a rivalry game and Purdue is the home team. Second, this is a tough spot for Illinois. They had a very emotional win against USC last week, and they will be playing Ohio State next week. This game could end up being a one score game, and I like for Purdue to at least keep this within 10 points.
Parnell’s Nasty Boy Parlay Play of the Day
Let’s get a win on the board. We have been way too close way too often.

- Notre Dame -20.5 (-110)
- Texas Tech -11.5 (-110)
- Wisconsin – Michigan under 43.5 points (-110)
