It is time for College Football Week Five, and there are some sneaky big games that are going to be happening this weekend. From something up to sundown, it should be yet another wild College Football weekend.

Straights

Friday

Virginia Tech -2.5 (-115)

This could be one of the best games of the weekend, and I like for Virginia Tech to win this by a field goal. This should be a high scoring game with both offenses being able to put up a good amount of points. Both of these quarterbacks are good, so it’s going to come down to who can make the least amount of mistakes. I like that Virginia Tech will have the home-field advantage, so I will take them to win it by a field goal.

I will also be betting the over in this game.

Saturday

West Virginia +3.5 (-120)

I love that we can get 3.5 points here on the road with West Virginia. While the defense for West Virginia can be shaky, but I think the offense can score enough to win the game. I potentially think the wrong team could be favored here, as I see West Virginia as the better team overall.

Florida -5.5 (-110)

This is a big test game for Florida, but I think they will be able to pass it. Missouri is good, but I do not believe they are as good as Florida. After what I have seen the last couple weeks with Florida, I am not too sure if Missouri’s defense will be able to stop Florida’s offense enough for Missouri to keep up. I think that Florida could win this game by over a touchdown.

North Dakota State -16.5 (-125)

The cash cow has covered for us all years far, so why not go back to the well again? We will continue to take the Bison to cover until they do not, and then I might even do it again. I like it even more that North Dakota State are at home.

Kentucky +3.5 (-120)

I like for Kentucky to keep this game within a field goal, and I think they could potentially win it outright. South Carolina is on quit watch currently, so I will be keeping an eye on them for the rest of the season until we hear news about Shane Beamer.

Purdue +10.5 (-120)

I think Purdue offense is good enough to hang around with Illinois. While there’s a good chance Purdue will probably not win the game, the defense of Illinois should allow the to hang around. Giving ten points feels like a bit of an overreaction to the Notre Dame game last week, so I’m going to try and take advantage here.

Miami -16.5 (-115)

Miami could win this game big. Clemson is good, but I do not think they are on the level of Miami. While I do not think the score will get as ugly as the LSU game, it could get close to that. Clemson has just continued to struggle on offense this season, and I don’t see that changing here. One of my only fears is the weather causing some issues.
