Already being injury riddled, this was some huge news for the Bills. Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis sustained a PCL sprain in Sunday’s 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins, sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The sprain isn’t considered serious, and Davis hasn’t been ruled out for the teams wildcard matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rapoport adds.
Davis ranks second on the team with 746 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, trailing only Stefon Diggs. His 45 receptions rank third behind Diggs and rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid. He is also their best deep threat.
The 24-year-old didn’t miss a game in the regular season and led the team’s skill position players in total snaps played, according to James Palmer of NFL Network.
Davis has been a key part of Buffalo’s passing attack in previous postseasons. The former UCF product has put up 474 yards and six touchdowns on 22 receptions in seven career playoff games.
Davis is scheduled to hit free agency at the end of the season. There should be some suitors besides the Bills that could use the services of Gabe Davis.
