Allisha Gray showed up to Phoenix for the WNBA All-Star weekend locked in as she became the first player ever to win both the Skills Competition and the 3 Point Contest.

Gray, who has been a bright spot for the injured Atlanta Dream this season, cleaned up on Friday night bringing home two trophies and adding her name to the history books.

Gray won both events by the seat of her pants, outlasting opponents in the end.

She beat Sophie Cunningham in the Skills Challenge by a mere 2.4 seconds. Afterwards she jokingly said she was happy she accepted the call to compete in both events.

The Skills Challenge gave Gray a warm up she admitted for the 3 Point Contest. “…Running all over the court…” she stated had her loose and ready to go.

Jonquel Jones came out on fire in the 3 Point Contest as she lead after the first round with 25 to Allisha Gray’s 23. Yet, in the end of round two it was Gray winning by one over Jones.

History was made this weekend by Allisha Gray. These are moments we will cherish now and look back on later. As Gray will always be known as the player who did it first when it comes to sweeping the WNBA Friday Night.
